Starting Foundation Walls

Published by Brian on

With the wet spring weather, and the high water table, I had to jump through quite a few hoops to get the footings passed. Had to install a drain system under the rear footing of the building to drain hydrostatic pressure from the subgrade in the winter/spring. Finally poured footings. Time for the foundation walls.

Poured walls are preferred for the 4-6′ height that I need in the lower west corner. I’m using Symons steel-ply because, well, these are the forms that I have on the shelf. I’m clearly not an expert on these forms though… any expert can see that I’ve laid them on their side which is not recommended, but since most of my forms are 8′ height I can go much farther that way.
